It cost me $450+ to join his live webinar.
I was curious. I saw his ads on Facebook and everyone was recommending his webinar in the comments. So… I joined.
I wanted to see what’s interesting about his webinar. To my surprise, the guy actually knows what he’s talking about.
It wasn’t a scam. But I feel bad for those people who joined his live webinar.
The webinar is too basic for it to be that expensive. They should know better but what can I say.
I’m sure they can learn all of these for a wayyy cheaper price on Udemy or Skillshare.
In my mind, they either want a shortcut to success or they have no direction on how to start an online business.
At the end of the webinar, he gave MORE upsell. And people are buying.
It’s a legit business I admit.
But the act of upselling for profit instead of helping and serving made “online guru” a scam.
Because at the end of the day, they can learn them all for almost free elsewhere.
I’m no guru or sifu but I experienced one first hand. Before you buy a course from an “online guru”, keep these things in mind:
Can I get this course somewhere else for a lower price?
Take a look at his website and his content, are they leaning towards making offers or providing value?
Are they exaggerating with their ads?
Did they mention that they are always looking for ways to be successful because they’re lazy?
Did they mention “graduates”?
If they check all these, chances are, they’re only there for profit. If you can join their free webinar, test the waters.
They usually offer free webinar and sell you at the end.
